Finally, after hours of hard labor... (what are boyfriends for?) soil is turned and fertilized, Everything is planted, all I have to do is remember to water! carrots, radishes, beets, tomatoes, peppers, corn, beans, lettuce, mint, and onions. I'm really excited for the 'black Krim' tomatoes. Jon and I went to Lockhart seeds in Stockton, a really old-timey place complete with catalogue drawers on the walls for seed. This place has been here since 1935 supplying the farmers in the area and home gardeners. There are hundreds of different seeds and the owners are always willing to give advice. I bought 'Black Krim' tomatoes and Bee-balm mint and jon bought whatever he wanted, he's so serious about these things. "Gardens aren't supposed to be cool" was the answer to any "different" seeds I picked up. He's such an old man...
